Product

Tokenized collectible cards, primarily Pokémon but expanding into sports cards etc. Users can vault their cards, trade them, and borrow against them. Collector Crypt are also building a library of cards by purchasing them from eBay, trade shows, etc.

By tokenizing cards, they can offer much easier trading, and lower fees. Especially for customers outside of the US, who save on shipping, returns, tariffs, etc.

They also have a “gacha” card machine, with a positive expected value — you put in 50 USD, and on average receive a card valued around 55 USD. This works because they source their cards at around 85-90% of market value (according to Lightspeed podcast), and offer instant buybacks at 85% of market value.

The stats look good, with rising volume and revenue throughout 2025, despite a struggling crypto market.

Started 2021. Won “Rising Star Consumer App” at Breakpoint 2025.

My guess from listening to interviews with Tuom (CEO) is that they will open up their own vault instead of using 3rd party vaults. Primarily because they need higher capacity. Then also expand more into cards outside of Pokémon (have already started), and perhaps other collectibles beyond cards.

Token

Token $CARDS launched in September 2025.

Air-dropped to users of the platform, with more drops coming in the future on a quarterly basis. They seem pretty good at aligning airdrop incentives with things that help real growth of the platform.

Not much token utility (yet) as of Dec 2025. Token holders get free gacha packs, and there is also a lottery. The blog article below hints that buybacks are coming.

Just listening to the CEO, I get the impression that they definitely want to create mechanisms to drive token value in the future.

Team

Team seems good, with long experience both on the card collecting and the entrepreneurship sides. Listening to interviews with founder/CEO Tuom, I get a good impression. With what they’ve built so far, they can clearly execute.

Tuom Holmberg, CEO. Entrepreneur with background in physics and biotech. Listened to a few podcast interviews with him. Seems smart.

Dax Herrera, CTO. Background in Computer Science.

Richard Shafer, senior engineer. Math degree.

Community

Small but organic and decently active community.
